Aube sur le plissement de l'écorce
Né d’un travail de recherche amorcé sur le littoral gaspésien, notamment à Grande-Vallée et dans le parc national Forillon, cette exposition de l'artiste québécoise, Anne Chantal Lagacé, propose une exploration sensible et actuelle de notre relation au territoire et prend racine dans l’observation attentive des paysages et de leurs transformations.

Pierre Fortin : St. Lawrence mission
The Musée de la Gaspésie presents Pierre Fortin: Mission Saint-Laurent, an immersive exhibition dedicated to a leading figure in maritime Quebec. A doctor, commander of La Canadienne, and politician, Pierre Fortin (1823–1888) defended coastal communities. Inspired by comic books, the exhibition offers a visual and interactive display that reveals a true hero of the maritime region.

Where Worlds Meet
The Gaspé Peninsula is often referred to as “the end of the land”. But the Gaspé Peninsula has long been connected to the outside world. The sea is what links all these separate parts, all these small and large “land’s ends”. Where Worlds Meet, let the Gaspesie carry you away.

The Deep Blue Sea
The deep blue sea is the history of the Gaspé told through fifteen sailing vessels, from the drakkars of the Vikings to the seafaring canoes of the Mi’gmaq to Gaspésiennes. It is also the life journey of people of the sea: cod fishers, whalers and captains.

Gaspésienne no 20
The Gaspésienne no 20 is an authentic 60-foot cod fishing boat, installed on the site of the Musée de la Gaspésie and restored by the community. The visitor will be able to climb aboard and put himself in the shoes of the cod fishermen of the time. A unique experience!

No, you’re not dreaming. The person inside the picture frame is actually moving… and talking to you… and even shifting from one picture frame to the next. It’s just like in Harry Potter! Jacques Cartier, Charles Robin, John Le Boutillier, Marguerite Bujold and Pierre Nadon: they’ve all gotten together to tell you their stories, with a touch of humour, as part of a unique, astonishing and enriching visit.
